ATTENTIVE

ALIAS : COACH KK

Danish born Viking woman living in LA. I used to run track and be in competitions, which led to several injuries, which then again introduced me to the Pilates Reformer in 2013. The Reformer looked like a torture instrument to me at first, but after one session I was sold and in 2016 I became an instructor. Today, Pilates Reformer plays a big part of my lifestyle, and it keeps educating me on body awareness.

I help build bodies and mental well-being in an athletic, dynamic flow moving with the breath. I will support and challenge you wherever you are on your journey.

I’m smitten with the positive, high energy and engagement I meet every single day I walk into the studio. It’s simply a wonderful community. The older I get, the more I understand how important building muscle is. The HIIT classes paired with my own Pilates classes has been a game changer for me. And – Oh so fun!!

When I PMS I crave cucumbers with tomato ketchup and Sex & The City on replay

Many! Right now I have the following on replay: SWV – ‘Can we’ / Kelly Rowland ‘Motivation” / No Doubt Cover of ‘Love to love you baby’ / Madonna ‘Crave’

Jane Fonda! She’s my female icon. But 2 other events come to mind: Circa 2007 when I was living in NYC: The first time I listened to Henryk Gorecki’s Symphony No. 3. The second when I came face to face with a painting by Kandinsky in the Guggenheim Museum. It was on my birthday March 19. The painting bothered me so much that I had to sit down and stare at it until I understood what I had to learn. This experience with this artist turned out to be an important teacher for me at this point in my life.
